My project, ARCHE TY POS (The Art Book of Archetypes and Japanese Legends), is a comprehensive work in which I created everything from texts to illustrations. Each story in the book delves into legends that aim to bring the concept of archetypes closer and show their interdependence. These archetypes are examined through the lens of various cultures, yet their message always remains the same.
Each illustration in the book features a hand-embroidered symbol corresponding to the specific archetype described in the given legend. The graphic elements representing threads are created using an old printing technique - lithography - and printed with gold ink. The threads symbolize the bonds and connections that are integral to these archetypal stories.

Background
This category details the step-by-step approach taken during the project, including research, planning, design, development, testing, and optimization phases.
Research on Archetypes
It began with an in-depth exploration of the theory of archetypes, which are universal patterns of human experience. Studying the works of Carl Jung and other theorists was essential.
Creating Narratives
Each legend was carefully conceived and written to elucidate specific archetypes and showcase their interdependencies.
Sketching & Hand Embroidering Symbols
I started by sketching initial concepts for each illustration, aiming to capture the essence of the story and the relevant archetype. Each symbol corresponding to an archetype was hand-embroidered, adding a unique, personal touch to each illustration.
Lithography and Gold Ink
The graphic elements representing threads were created using traditional lithographic techniques and printed with gold ink. This stage required precision and care to achieve the desired visual effect.
Page Layout & Cover Design
Each page was meticulously planned to ensure consistency and aesthetic harmony between the text and illustrations. The cover design was as important as the interior of the book, meant to attract attention and convey the theme of the entire work.
Material Selection
& Print Supervision
High-quality papers and materials were selected for the production of the book to give it an exclusive character. The printing process was supervised to ensure that every detail was faithfully reproduced and met the highest quality standards.
